Exams are just around the corner and Little Man and Wise Man are already looking forward to their two months’ vacation that’ll ensue as the school year comes to an end. While I wait earnestly to get away from the city, taking the kids and staying with my parents for a few weeks.
Not many days left for Ramadan to approach now. We’ll be fasting in intense heat this summer. I’m already sifting through recipes to find some cooling drinks that will quench thirst after breaking fast and also provide energy. Bottled drinks are loaded with unhealthy agents, sugars and added colors. And it’s wise to refrain from consuming them while you can.
Hence, I’ve come upon the concept of homemade flavoured water and would like to share a few combinations that I feel are a cornucopia of taste and good health. This year I’ll be slicing up the two along with chopped mint to create a wholesome and flavorful concoction. I’m also digging the fact that this infused fruit drink is a powerhouse of antioxidants!
